Living Soccer/football Legend Mia Hamm is having a baby in early spring. She's one of the many people I admire. I used to play soccer for a bit. up until now. If I had stayed at Woodcrest Baptist Academy, I probally would ask if I could be on the Junior High Soccer team. If I can't have that, I would have asked if I could at least train with Junior High Soccer team. oh, well.

Satruday night, Germany played Portugal for third place.
Germany won of course. 3-1 Germany. The French calls Germany, Allamage. I know the spelling is wrong. that's how I pronouce it while spelling it.


Germany

1. The 1st goal is by #7 Bastin Schweinsteigher
2. The second goal, was because of a penalty kick, and #7, again, was kicking the ball.But that's not the only thing that happen, oh no, one of Portugal's defender, they were trying to kick the ball away from the net, but nope. It went in and the goalie couldn't stop it.
3. # 7 (again might I add) kick the ball into the net.

So, despite that fact that #7 of Germany got a yellow card, he still manage to shoot all of Germany's goals. AMAZING!

Portugal

1. All I know is they socred. just one goal.

They have confirmed it. He will not be playing the rest of the World Cup anymore. His appearent knee injury, is actully, a torn anterior cruciate ligament.To save you the task of going to your dictionary, here's what it mean, anterior - towards the front, cruciate means cross-shaped, and you all know what ligament is.Docs calls it ACL. It sound filmilier to Minnesota people doesn't it? I think it's the same kind of ligament that Randy Moss tore (there were three of them), excpet, Michael Owen only torn one. If you still don't know what it means, ask your parents, and if your parents don't know, ask your family doc next time you go see him. I read some where that players usually need a good 6 to 8 months to recover from a torn ACL.Unfortunatly that's what happened to Michael. Life can be so curel.

you know, I was watching that match on the internet and tv. It said on the internet, that France came out onto the feild looking like a team ready to 'cream' anybody that gets in their way. At least that's the way I put it. But once France scored the 1st goal, they went back to the team that didn't win....over 10 or more years. I heard the last FIFA world Cup goal that wasn't shot on French soil was by Manuel Amorose( last name is not correct I know it) 20 years ago in Peubla, Mexico on
June 28, 1986. It stood for 20 years until just resently, while they were against Korea, They score, the 1st FIFA world cup score since 1986.( If you'll remeber France tied their 1st game 0-0 against the Swis.)

But if they were better, they could have push Korea out of the running. But then, since I've been in Tae Kwon Do for a long time, I also like Korea. But not as much as I like England.
